Photo Essay: RF.SG Goes To Penang, Malaysia

RF.SG in a small troop when on a short long weekend trip over the Labour Day Holidays.

The initial plan was to catch the KTM train from SIN all the way to PEN, Butterworth but after looking through the close to 14 hours on the train ride, we decided to trash the plan & took a 1 hour flight on SQ to PEN direct. It was so much more comfortable & convenient. The hotel, Straits Collection was lovely.

Staying in a more than 100 year old 2 storey shop-house was awesome. It was nicely furnished with antique furnishes & the open concept bathroom was a pleasant welcome. Soaking in a antique wooden bathtub was great to ease up before bed. These shots are mostly taken in Georgetown, it is a lovely place with old shop-houses, plenty of Chinese temples & colonial houses all around the island.

Down side would be the extremely hot & humid weather. We’ve got major massive sunburns from just walking around.
