In Zone Focus: Shoe Repairman By Jon Mitchell

I took this shot in the courtyard of the main keep at Trakai Castle about 30 kilometres west of Vilnius, Lithuania. The place was busy with tourists, and I spotted this guy sitting there and thought to myself “Wow, there’s no way this guy is a tourist. He looks like he really belongs here”. the light was nice so I took a few shots of him. This is the shot that turned out best. At the time, I assumed he repaired shoes there but am not so sure now. I wonder what that anvil like thing in front of him is for… – Jon Mitchell
