Bangladesh is the 8th most populous nation in the world, with about 7million people living and making ends meet in the capital city of Dhaka. Many have come into the city, striving to make a decent living. Most are poor.
The streets of Dhaka are alive, with all forms of trade imaginable. The people, while striving to survive on a daily basis, are friendly, open and embracing. They take life and all its difficulties and challenges in their stride, one day at a time, with pride and dignity.
It was an exhilarating and eye opening experience to walk the streets of Dhaka and to be able to feel the human spirit of this living, breathing city.
